In cases where the system at the entry unit partially reads the license plate number, or when the user manually enters it with errors, the payment machine must display a list of the closest matches, including the license plate image captured by the entry unit. The user selects the correct license plate from the list. Based on the selected plate, the system displays the corresponding parking start date/time and the amount due. The user confirms and proceeds to payment according to the data captured at the entry and the applicable tariff.

Our pay-on-foot (POF) stations offer a list of closest matches:

If the license plate was not correctly detected or read at the entry unit, the terminal must offer the user the option to enter the arrival time manually. Based on this input, the system will calculate the parking fee according to the applicable tariff.

Step-by-Step Process

Step 1: Enter License Plate

The driver enters the vehicle’s license plate number.

Step 2: Plate Not Found – Honesty Entry Option

If the license plate is not found, the POF station prompts the driver to manually enter the date and time of arrival (honesty-based payment).

Step 3: Enter Date and Time of Arrival

The driver inputs the arrival details manually.

Step 4: Payment Screen

The system displays the total amount due for confirmation and payment.
